Peer Review Process

Submitted manuscripts will be reviewed for contribution, originality, relevance, and presentation by peer reviewers using single-blind peer review, meaning that the peer reviewers know the author's identity, but the author does not know the peer reviewers' identity.

The editor will provide information about the review results as soon as possible, within 1 to 3 weeks. Please note that the review process for manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Administrasi Politik dan Sosial (JAPS) may take up to approximately 4 weeks. The editor will evaluate the submitted manuscript in accordance with the focus and scope of JAPS. If the manuscript is found to be inconsistent with the focus and scope, the editor reserves the right to reject the submitted manuscript.

Peer reviewers evaluate manuscripts in terms of quality and substance (not grammar), including originality, usefulness, and validity of citations and references. If a manuscript does not fit their expertise and relevant field of study, peer reviewers have the right to reject it and recommend it to another peer reviewer who is more suitable.
